The four signs you should call before it gets worse
Water that stays cold when a heater is fitted usually means blocked pipework or controls that have stopped calling for heat. The heater itself is rarely the broken part, which is why replacing it first is an expensive way to find out.
Water that stays dirty after a service points at the pipework, a sand filter that has blocked, or a pump that is no longer moving the volume it is rated for. No amount of chemistry clears a mechanical fault.
Cracking in the pool walls is the urgent one. It can mean water is leaving the shell, and the clay under a Fort Bend County pool moves enough already without help. Broken pool lights are the other absolute: mains voltage sitting in water is not a do-it-yourself repair, whatever the video suggested.

What we repair

The bench work matters more than the parts catalog. A pump that has been rebuilt properly and plumbed back without strain outlasts a new pump dropped onto a bad pad every time.

The equipment we install and stand behind
The Pentair MasterTemp Heater has no pilot light, a small footprint, a digital temperature readout and a rustproof plastic casing. The Pentair IntelliChlor salt cell makes chlorine electrolytically from table salt, which ends the buying, storing and carrying of chlorine, along with the smell, the stinging eyes and the bleached swimsuits.
The VS FloPro is a variable-speed pump and uses up to 90% less energy than running a single-speed motor flat out. The Easy Touch automated system by Pentair puts the pool and spa functions, including the color-changing lights, on a remote. The Polaris 480 Pro cleaner runs stainless steel belts and rigid PVC tubing with no bearings, which is exactly why it keeps going.
Warranty work other contractors turn down
A customer had an under-warranty Polaris PB4-50 pump stop working. Leslie's Pool Supplies would not help without fees, and although Polaris supplied a list of authorized contractors, most declined the job because it was small.
She called James at Reed's. He collected the receipt and the serial number and sent a technician out. The pump was repaired free under warranty, and the technician stayed to show her how to maintain it. That is the whole of the story, and it is on the reviews page in her words.
Small warranty jobs are not profitable and everybody in the trade knows it. Reed's takes them because the pools in Stafford and Sugar Land are the same pools next year.
